Vegan Green Gumbo
🤫 Momma’s Gumbo Secrets
1. The Okra Magic
A lot of folks get scared of Okra because of the texture, but don’t you worry about that. When we cook it low and slow in the Crock Pot, the texture melts away completely. It turns into pure velvet and acts as a thickener to create a beautiful dark gravy.
2. Why Ben’s Original?
Regular white rice gets gummy when you pour hot stew on it. Converted or Parboiled rice stays fluffy and firm, soaking up that juice without turning into baby food.
